Kiev is coming to life! People are smiling and birds are singing!



All is well with the world again...Spring is arriving! The air is warmer and the sun is shining. Good-bye sweaters and snow boots!

In a couple of weeks these buds will be gorgeous and fragrant lilacs. I can't wait.

The magnolias are ready to pop! This one will be out in a couple of days.

Hidden among the green leaves were these beautiful yellow flowers.

Spring in Istanbul

I had been looking forward to the CEESA conference (for teachers) in Istanbul, Turkey for many years. Istanbul is one of those cities that I have wanted to see for a long time. Finally, I have had the chance to be here. I am writing from Istanbul. We are six days into our nine day trip. The conference is over and we are on our own to explore a different part of this incredible city.

Spring has sprung in Istanbul

The food here is incredible
